I want to start working out!
Everyone knows that it is necessary to be healthy.
But there is something that is always stopping you from getting started.
The thought of spending money in a gym always plays a role. But you are unsure. Maybe I won’t like it, and my schedule is pretty busy, so maybe I will not get my money’s worth and show up as much as I would like to.
So why risk it?
I know! I can get some equipment at home, and all I have to do is go down to my basement and I basically have a free gym membership. But there’s the same risk of losing your money as well. The equipment setting in your basement is nice, but if we don’t use it, then it doesn’t do us much good.
If I start working out at home by myself, how will I know if I’m doing things correctly? Am I going to hurt myself? That means I have to put my own program together, and for it to make sense. But once you Google how to structure your own workout, you get 6,000 pages of conflicting ideologies and you become so exhausted with the search that it’s 3 weeks again before you think about exercising.
But our commute is super short!

Get the boat in the water
What if you just started and stopped putting so much thought into it? What if you accepted that your exercise regimen does not have to be perfect, but with time and consistency, that routine will improve in terms of effectiveness and efficiency?
We let go of that paralysis by analysis and just get the boat in the water, starting to exercise.
And you can start right now or tomorrow. That exercise can come in many forms. It can be a 15-minute walk, it can be just 20 minutes of lifting weights, or it can be running around with your kids.
But what we have to remember is that everyone started somewhere. To get to where we want to go, all we have to do is just start.
The domino effect
What if you did start tomorrow?
You loved how exercise made you feel, and you want to do more of it!
Pretty soon that first day will turn into your second day, and before you know it, you’ve been exercising consistently for six months!
Remember, we do not have to be perfect. All we have to do is be consistent!
So get started tomorrow. Call the gym that sends you all these blogs. Go outside for a walk. Or dust off the weights in your basement and get the momentum going!
