Here at JDFit, we do not believe in a one size fits all programs. What we believe in are custom programs and approaches that help you meet your goals. Everyone has different ability levels/skill sets, goals, time to train and preferences…which, means we need to customize these things for you. A well-designed program will not only keep you balanced, it will keep you on track and in the gym more often.
Your goals will guide our decisions
What we have to look at first are your goals. Most adults that come into our facility want some form of fat loss, strength gain and accountability.
We structure our workouts for our adults similarly to one another:
- Strength- we need to build muscle. The body loves having lots of lean tissue on it and the more we have, the easier we can lose fat.
- Conditioning- Fairly simple. We want to improve your heart health.
- Core & Mobility- Helps your get into proper positions and just as important…getting out of those positions.
Within each of the above sections, we will customize exercises to fit your needs. This includes, reps, sets, tempo and frequency.

Effective Programming
What makes programming great is that we are taking a calculated approach to your training. We need to monitor everything from fatigue to progressing you at the correct cadence. Most importantly, we need to maintain an ultra safe environment in which you train.
- Injury History: We do complete medical background checks on all of our clients. This is important because we need to see if people are cleared to start exercising. Next step is a movement assessment. This will allow us to figure out a starting point for each client while keeping them safe. Sometimes, we have to refer out to other professionals before they can start with us.
- Progress-Regress: Each client presents a unique situation. Some come into the gym stronger than others and vice versa. We need to be able to challenge each client but with the appropriate exercise selection. Once we have that figured out, progressing to the next thing is much easier.
- Balance: We love hitting multiple muscle groups each session accompanied with big movements. We even make you work muscle groups that you may not like very much. This creates a balance that will decrease the likelihood of injury.

At the end of the day, we want you to enjoy yourself. If we can culminate a good atmosphere with great programming, you will stay engaged and progress will be imminent.

- If you hate what you are doing, you will not come back.
